Show only records from user that is logged in

User moon_456 2012-05-14 14:42:13

Dear,

when a user is logged in, he can see all records. Is it possible to configure list manager so that a user only can see his own records?

Kind Regards.

Hello,
yes, you should configure your list this way to get it:

- Create a new column of your list typed 'user'. This field is filled automatically when users create records through front-end, or can be filled by administrator through back-end. It's not necessary to set it as visible on your table.

- Go to your module or component configuration and set the parameter 'Access Control' to ->'Only user records'

This should do the work. Please note if you have already some records on your list, your new column user will be still empty for them. Save them again through administrator screen if you want them assigned to any user.

Hope this helps, regards

Thank you,

I found it in the module. In the component I couldn't find it. But it works great!

Hello,
glad it worked. All parameters are the same either for component or module, though. So you should see that same option when configuring the component, please let us know if you need help to access component options.

Best regards
