Type yes/no error on translation

User anonymous 2011-10-18 13:07:43

Hi,
Frontend data editor uses correctly a german "JA,NEIN" as boolean.
But if you open these records in the backend, then the german translation does not work.
So the backend editor form does not recognize the JA/NEIN values and shows English "YES/NO".
Fatal is, that backend even shows "YES" in spite of the german "NEIN" (which means the opposite) and saves the "YES" !

Hello,
Type Yes/No is trying to match with backend-values, so they should be translated same way as front-end ones. Please check this file:

joomla\administrator\language\en-GB\en-GB.com_listmanager.ini

It contains Yes/No values. You can change them to match german, or create a new one de-DE folder and file if your backend site is going to work on german.

When values show the same for front and back editors, this type should work again as expected.

Hello

There were 2 definitions I could not find within the file for translation, so I can see all in german now except these two names:
a) At load data there is a multilinie field named "VALUES".
b) At list definition the is a marker filed named "VISIBLE".

Hello
The two words missing are not in the file, although in english it doesn't matter because translation doesn't change. You can add them to your translation, adding this two lines at administration language file:

VISIBLE="Visible"
VALUES="Values"
