Hello,
if you are using component view, a horizontal scroll bar will appear (according to your template). When using module view, you can add this scroll loading the module inside a div with fixed width and auto scroll. This is the default view if you want to show always all your columns, but if you have a big number of them, you can hide some of them, setting at list adminitration that fields as not visible.
This fields will only display when editting the record or (if selected) excel/pdf export are done.
